Nov. 27-Dec. 1

Happy Thanksgiving! It was a nice little break to reflect on things you are thankful for, and I am so thankful for such a sweet, kind class this year.  I hope enjoyed your break, and ate all the turkey and yummies your belly could handle!  I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday.

Science: We will begin our unit on forms of energy beginning with mechanical, potential, and kinetic energy this week. Studyjams.com has awesome videos that your child can watch to help review, and as always the science journal has everything they need! 
REMEMBER!!! Energy doesn't go anywhere...it just takes different forms! ALSO Energy is never created nor destroyed, it is only transferred or changed from one from to another.


Social Studies: Review for Revolutionary War Unit test on Thursday: the students will receive a study guide on Monday to help them prepare for the test.

Reading:  Historical Fiction Book Clubs end on Wednesday; We begin our book club project; they will be due on FRIDAY (very short turn around, make sure your bookmark is complete and comprehensive)
Book Club Project- every student will create a double historical fiction timeline. The timeline will be comparing both the events in their novel and events that occurred in history. CREATIVITY IS PART OF THE RUBRIC.
