I am so excited for this upcoming school year. I hope everyone has rested over the summer and I can’t wait to hear all the fun stories. I am looking forward to a fun and successful school year with each and every one of you.

Here are a couple of reminiders:

VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools)

All school volunteers must be registered with HISD VIPS, which runs an annual background check. If you were cleared previously through the VIPS Program, you only need to bring a photo ID to the reception desk to be reactivated. If you have never been cleared through VIPS before, please complete the VIPS registration as soon as possible. The background check can take 2-3 weeks to complete and you must be cleared before you can volunteer in the school.

Classroom Volunteer

To volunteer in the classroom, sign up on the Roberts PTO website to help with Room Parent, Field Trip Chaperone, Holiday Parties, Room Gardener, and more. 

School Volunteer

To volunteer for school wide events like Carnival, International Festival and more, please sign up here.

Don’t forget to review the information on the enrollment forms carefully and make any corrections in an ink color other than black.  Make sure you add emergency contact information.
